Global increase in critical attitude towards democracy

A new survey from the Pew Research Center says that, while representative democracy remains popular globally, its appeal is also waning. Survey respondents also reported they felt their country’s political parties don’t represent them and elected officials don’t care what people like them think. Host Marco Werman speaks with Richard Wike, director of global attitudes research at Pew Research Center, about the factors behind this increasingly critical attitude towards democracy.
