Global cholera outlook is getting worse

The World

Where there is instability in this world, cholera often follows. The ancient disease is back in the headlines as outbreaks spread in Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia and other countries. The World’s Carol Hills discusses the latest global picture with Daniele Lantagne, a professor of environmental health at Tufts University. Lantagne sits on the Global Task Force for Cholera Control at the World Health Organization.
