Ghana tackles its plastic waste problem

Next week, leaders will meet at the U-N Environment Assembly in Nairobi to discuss, for the first time, a global agreement to reduce plastic pollution. They say an international effort must work in tandem with national and local efforts to reduce plastic waste that ends up in the environment. Ghana is one of a handful of countries that’s launched a national plastic pollution plan backed by the World Economic Forum and the United Nations Development Program. Reporter Ridwan Karim Dini-Osman looks at what progress has been made since that national plan was launched in 2019.
