One of the many ripple effects of the war in Ukraine, is that many countries throughout Europe are trying to wean themselves off of Russian gas. Over the weekend, Germany announced new measures to conserve gas, and reduce its reliance on Russian gas in the long term. Part of Germany’s strategy is to return back to using coal.
