Gavi ceases vaccine distribution to middle-income countries

The global health partnership known as Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, announced it would cease distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine to middle-income countries. The World’s Carol Hills spoke with Lawrence Gostin, director of the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University Law School, about the factors behind Gavi’s decision and the consequences for the middle-income countries affected.
