First wheat, now chickpea shortages are linked to war in Ukraine

The war in Ukraine is causing a global shortage of chickpeas (a.k.a. garbanzo beans). According to Global Pulse Confederation, a nonprofit trade organization based in Dubai, global supply of the crop could drop as much as 20% this year.
