First Nations delegation secures papal apology

Today, Pope Francis apologized for the Roman Catholic Church’s role in “deplorable” abuses at Canada’s residential schools. He spoke of his indignation and shame, and promised to come to Canada for an official visit. First Nations, Inuit and Métis delegates met with the Pope at midday, capping a week of meetings at the Vatican. Host Carol Hills speaks with Katsitsionni Fox, who traveled with the delegates and attended today’s ceremony.
