The ornate and massive Sagrada Familia basilica, designed by Antoni Gaudi is one of Barcelona’s most popular tourist destinations. Construction began more than 150 years ago and is still incomplete to this day. As crews work on finishing the church’s tallest tower, the city council is still debating the grand entrance, which, if completed as planned, would displace thousands of people who live and work in the neighborhood that sprung up during the long period of time since it was designed.
