Fighting fake news during the Brazilian elections

The World

With just days remaining before Brazil’s presidential runoff, fake news and disinformation is running rampant on social media platforms used by tens of millions of people. The World’s Marco Werman checks in with Yasodara Córdova, who is a senior fellow researcher at the Digital Kennedy School and works at the First Draft project at Harvard’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy. Córdova is also involved with project Comprova, an initiative aimed at fighting disinformation around Brazilian elections.
