Election security in 2020

Foreign efforts to meddle with the 2016 US presidential election was a key focus of the report former special counsel Robert Mueller’s office released in April. As Mueller gears up to testify before two Congressional committees on Wednesday, we take a look at threats ahead of the 2020 election and efforts to “hack-proof” the race. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Jessica Brandt, head of research and policy at the Alliance for Securing Democracy. We also hear from Paul Lux, who was president of the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections when the Mueller report came out and revealed that Florida’s election systems were targeted by Russians operatives in the run-up to the 2016 election.
