Detained kids; Catholic reaction

The World

Casa Padre is a shelter in Brownsville, Texas, for immigrant children separated from their parents. After questions were raised about the treatment of hundreds of minors there, the nonprofit that runs the facility allowed some journalists to have a look inside. Aaron Nelson of the San Antonio Express-News tells host Marco Werman what he saw there. In reaction to the controversy, one Catholic bishop has called the Trump administration’s so-called zero tolerance immigration policy “hostile” toward children and families. Our host Marco Werman speaks with Archbishop of Newark, New Jersey, Joseph Tobin.
