Denmark plans to introduce military conscription for women

For the first time, Denmark’s government has introduced a plan to conscript women into its military. Women have served in Denmark on a voluntary basis since 1998. The plan would see an expanded service for men and women. Host Carolyn Beeler speaks with Kathrine Bjerg Bennike, an academic at Aalborg University in Denmark, about what this means for Danish women and why this is happening now.
