COVID restrictions tighten in Beijing

On Wednesday, Beijing took the unusual step of closing 15% of its subway lines to fight rising COVID-19 numbers. The Chinese capital is the latest city with tightening restrictions under the country’s zero-COVID-19 policy. It’s been over a month since most residents in Shanghai, China’s largest city, have been able to leave the house. Host Marco Werman spoke to Yanzhong Huang, senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations.
