Promises made, promises broken. Countries around the world are failing to live up to their commitments to fight climate change. And a lack of drastic actions means more warming, and with it, more fires, floods and devastation. That is the upshot of a United Nations report out on Wednesday. The report finds only 13% of countries that made climate commitments at last year’s climate conference have followed through. A lot has been done across the world, but not nearly enough. To discuss, The World’s Marco Werman speaks to Taryn Fransen, a senior fellow in the global climate program at the World Resources Institute.
