Company switches to making hand sanitizer instead of gin

The World

Verdant Spirits, based in Dundee, Scotland, is switching production from gin to hand sanitizer in the wake of the coronavirus, and hopes to produce 400 liters of hand sanitizer gel. The company, and two other distilleries in Aberdeenshire and the Highlands, were approached by local care groups. Company owner Andrew Mackenzie tracked down the ingredients listed on the World Health Organization’s website.
