Colombian ranchers seek net-zero cattle farm with new grass

The World

Worldwide, the cattle industry is responsible for about 7% of greenhouse gas emissions. That comes primarily from waste, like cows burping out methane, and the energy required to grow feed, often on cleared forest land. In Colombia, ranchers are experimenting with a new kind of grass in the hopes of building a sustainable cattle farm. Manuel Rueda reports from Colombia.
