China’s solutions to flooding

The World

Southern China is experiencing some of its worst floods in living memory this summer, but some experts say the impacts would be even worse if it weren’t for large-scale projects China put in place after their last disastrous flood in 1998, which killed thousands of people. On The World’s weekly look at climate change solutions, The Big Fix, The World’s Anna Kusmer talks about some of the solutions that China has been trying. Then, we share the next in a series of young poets reflecting on the climate crisis. This week, we’re featuring 15-year-old Neeraja Kumar in Dubai.
