China’s frozen bank accounts

Large-scale protests are rare in China. But more than 1,000 bank depositors in central Henan province demonstrated on Sunday, after four local banks froze their assets. Men in white T-shirts violently broke up the demonstration. Michael Pettis, a finance professor at Peking University, talks with The World’s host Marco Werman about the financial scandal and the fragility of China’s banking system.
