China’s Foreign Ministry has defended its actions at its consulate in Manchester, England, saying it has the right to “take necessary measures” to maintain security. A Hong Kong protester alleges he was dragged into the consulate and beaten up during a demonstration against China on Sunday. British police have opened an investigation into the incident.
