Cat owners revert to black market cure

If your cat contracts feline infectious peritonitis, a chronic wasting disease, it will almost always be fatal. A pharmaceutical company, however, developed a cure but decided not to get it approved for veterinary use because it was too similar to remdesivir. The recipe got out to global drug manufacturers, who now market off-label versions of the medication. Desperate cat owners in Turkey say they’ve paid thousands of dollars to save their cats — and that it works. The World’s Durrie Bouscaren reports.
