The 177 potato farmers on Prince Edward Island are unable to send their year’s crop to the US because of an export ban. It was imposed when a potato virus was discovered on two farms in October. The crop has since been declared virus-free, but the ban persists, leaving PEI with enough potatoes to fill 25 NHL hockey stadiums. Host Carol Hills speaks with Greg Donald, manager of the Prince Edward Island Potato Board, which represents the farmers.
