The UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) was an aspirational document adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2007. Now the provincial government of British Columbia has become the first government in North America to turn UNDRIP into law. Marco Werman talks to Regional Chief of the British Columbia Assembly of First Nations Terry Teegee about the implications of the proposed law for Indigenous peoples in British Columbia.
