Brazil’s election goes to second round, with Bolsonaro performing stronger than expected

In Brazil’s presidential election on Sunday, former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva got the highest number of votes, as expected. But the final result showed incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro just a handful of points behind the former president. And it’s going to mean weeks of intense campaigning as Bolsonaro has now become a real contender for the second round election at the end of the month. Michael Fox reports from São Paulo.
