Northern Spain’s beekeepers are fighting a losing battle against the Asian hornet, which reached Europe roughly 15 years ago. The Vespa Velutina, also called the “Assassin Hornet,” likes to prey on honeybees, which it hunts and feeds to its young. As Gerry Hadden reports from the town of Sabadell, beekeepers have been battling the hornets while hoping the government steps up its assistance.
