Earlier this year, French President Emmanuel Macron laid out a new national strategy for artificial intelligence in his country. Wired magazine’s editor-in-chief Nicholas Thompson sat down with Macron recently to learn more about that plan. He tells The World’s Marco Werman how France’s AI plan compares to that of the US and China — arguably the two leaders in the field — and why Macron thinks Europe is uniquely positioned to advance in this area.
