When musician Anoushka Shankar was writing tunes in 2015 for her album “Land of Gold,” she was moved to create songs about the migrant crisis that was dramatically unfolding across Europe. Like many, she had hoped the crisis would quickly be resolved. Now, several years later, many of the songs remain as relevant as ever. Shankar is about to embark on a short US tour this July. She’s doing it to help the nonprofit organization, Help Refugees.
