But in China itself, where they are used exclusively, their impact has been compromised by the government’s zero-COVID policy. Marco Werman speaks with Dr. William Schaffner, professor of infectious diseases at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, about the dilemma China faces as its population increasingly vents at the constraints of the zero-COVID policy.
