An Australian politician ‘comes out’ about her own drug use

Cate Faehrmann is a Greens member of the New South Wales Legislative Council in Australia. She wrote an op-ed in the Sydney Herald about her use of MDMA in an effort to start a ‘real conversation’ about pill testing — screening tablets, like MDMA, for any dangerous substances. This comes after six Australians died from untested MDMA at festivals. Host Marco Werman speaks with Faehrmann about her message on pill testing and the war on drugs in Australia.
