Al-Shabab, the militant group that is trying to overthrow Somalia’s government, is increasingly on the defensive. Last year, Somalia’s president declared an “all out war” against them, recapturing towns the group controlled for years. With its territory shrinking, al-Shabab is resorting to kidnapping civilians. The World’s Carol Hills talks to Mohamed Gabobe, a freelance reporter in Mogadishu, about the latest turn in the struggle against al-Shabab.
