The airlines are in trouble. With borders closed and travel restrictions in place all over the world, air travel is down to a fraction of what it was before the pandemic. In the US, that’s led to massive layoffs. Last week, airline companies started to let go of up to 50,000 workers. But some airlines are coming up with new ways to make money and keep workers on the payroll. In Toronto, Anita Elash reports.
