Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has been a vocal critic of the global community’s failure to provide coronavirus vaccines to poorer countries. Sirleaf is the former president of Liberia, and a co-chair of the World Health Organization’s pandemic review panel. She tells The World’s Marco Werman that even the most powerful, wealthy countries won’t be safe, if vaccine rollouts leave Africa behind.
