A musician’s mission for the LGBTQ community in Brazil

The World

Murder rates of trans and queer people in Brazil are among the highest in the world. And it’s become Bia Ferreira’s mission to inform and protect the LGBTQ community there. In 2019, Ferreira released an album which translated to “Lesbyterian Church, A Call.” In a way, she created her own church through the album. That mission continues with her latest release “Faminta.”
