A convicted extremist will be taking over Israel’s national security ministry

The World

Israel is on track to have its most extreme right-wing government in the country’s history. At the forefront of the far-right political trend is a man named Itamar Ben-Gvir. He moved up in the Kahane movement, which was named a terrorist group by the US and Israeli governments. He’s known for his harsh anti-Arab rhetoric.
