Nov. 4, 2022, marks the 100th year since the discovery of the young Egyptian King Tutankhamun Nebkheperure’s tomb (popularly known as “King Tut”) was discovered in the Valley of Kings by British Egyptologist Howard Carter in 1922. This discovery has led to groundbreaking archaeological research and given us more insight into what life was like during King Tut’s reign. Peter Der Manuelian, professor of Egyptology at Harvard University and the director of the Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East, joins The World’s Carol Hills to talk more about the discovery.
