Trump gets his military options on Iran

Trump met Friday with his National Security Council to discuss military options against Iran. Military action is being considered as a possible response to a massive attack on Saudi Arabia's oil facilities last weekend. Saudi Arabia says Iran was "unquestionably" responsible for the attack, even though it's not yet clear from where the attack was launched. Host Carol Hills speaks with Michele Flournoy, who was Under Secretary of Defense for Policy under Barack Obama.

Who leads Hong Kong’s protesters? 

Hong Kong’s pro-democracy movement is officially leaderless. But several young activists have been key faces of the uprising and chief among them is Joshua Wong. Ukraine in the middle of whistleblowing and  whistleblowing

There's an explosive question gripping Washington and it's shrouded in mystery. Did President Trump make an inappropriate promise to a foreign leader? A whistleblower in the intelligence community made a complaint about an "urgent concern," as first reported by the Washington Post. President Trump's director of national intelligence is blocking Congress from learning about it. It seems to be about Ukraine. Host Carol Hills speaks with Nina Jankowicz, a fellow of the Wilson and Kennan Institute in Washington about the $250 million of military aid that Trump held from Ukraine's government.

A team of researchers recently measured the tallest tree ever discovered in the Brazilian rainforest, an astonishing 288 feet tall. The BBC's Fernanda Odilla tells the story of their journey, which took them to a remote part of the Amazon.
