Nayomi Munaweera

Nayomi Munaweera is an award-winning author. Her debut novel, Island of a Thousand Mirrors was short listed for the Northern California Book Prize and the DSC Prize. It won the Commonwealth Regional Prize for Asia. Her second novel, What Lies Between Us was considered one of the most exciting releases of 2016 from venues from Elle Magazine to Buzzfeed.  It won the Sri Lankan State Literary Prize.The New York Times has called her writing "luminous" and her voice has been compared to that of Jumpha Lahirii, Michael Ondaatje and Louise Erdrich.  She lives in Oakland, California and is at work on her third novel.
