Mukhtar Ibrahim

Mukhtar Ibrahim is a general assignment reporter for MPR News.

He worked at MPR in 2011 as an intern and has filled in as a reporter and as a freelancer.

Before joining MPR, he has written for several publications, including Al Jazeera English, about issues relating to the use of technology, emerging threats, terrorism and diplomacy. He's the founder of Sahan Journal, a digital news publication filled with in-depth pieces on issues affecting Somalia and the diaspora.

An avid user of social media, Mukhtar graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2011 with a degree in journalism.
