Megan Quellhorst is a freelance producer based in New York City. At The Takeaway, she produces segments on issues of national and international affairs, culture, politics, and art. She produced The Takeaway’s coverage of the 2013 rollout of the Affordable Care Act and the Supreme Court’s 2013 ruling on the Voting Rights Act. Before working in media, she was active in state politics and campaigns in Ohio. She also lived and worked in Yaoundé, Cameroon as a women’s global health fellow for the African Investment Corporation and Project Hope. Megan is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University.
