Jenna Sapiano

Jenna Sapiano is an Australia Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associate and Lecturer at the Monash Gender, Peace and Security Centre. Her research focuses on gender and the negotiation and implementation of peace agreements. She completed her PhD in International Relations at the University of St Andrews in 2017. Her doctoral thesis was on the drafting and implementation of constitutions as part of peace settlements. Before joining Monash, Dr Sapiano held a postdoctoral fellowship, funded by a Canada Research Chair, at Queen’s University Faculty of Law. She previously worked as a Research Associate on the Legal Tools for Peace-making project at Cambridge University and held a Kathleen Fitzpatrick Research Fellowships at Melbourne Law School. Dr Sapiano holds two Masters Degrees from the University of Edinburgh in African Studies and International Law. She holds a BA from McGill University (Montreal, Canada).
