Dan Kennedy is an associate professor of journalism at Northeastern University and a panelist on WGBH 2's Beat the Press. He writes the blog Media Nation and is the author of The Wired City: Reimagining Journalism and Civic Life in the Post-Newspaper Age (University of Massachusetts Press, 2013).

In addition to media commentary Kennedy writes The Muzzle Awards, in which he turns a spotlight on those who diminish free speech.
