A coalition of Ukrainians is documenting environmental crimes

The Ukrainian government is doing an unusually thorough job of documenting environmental damages being caused by Russian attacks. Its primary goal, according to the Ministry of the Environment, is to eventually win compensation for these damages. The government isn’t alone in this effort— a handful of nonprofits are also helping, with volunteers combing news reports to help build databases of every potential environmental impact caused by a Russian attack. The World's Environment Correspondent Carolyn Beeler reports.
