El Salvador’s megaprison

This week, officials in El Salvador sent 2,000 additional suspected criminals to a massive new prison built to hold people connected with criminal gangs. Many of the suspects have not been tried. Supporters of Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele’s tough anti-gang policies say his approach has made the country safer. Steven Dudley of Insight Crime speaks with The World’s Marco Werman.
