Stoltenberg: NATO seeks ‘friends’ in Pacific

In a speech in Japan Wednesday, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance needs more “friends” in the Indo-Pacific. The reason: China’s growing ties with Russia. The World’s host Marco Werman was spoke to Eva Pejsova. She’s Japan chair at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy at the Brussels School of Governance. This month, the center started the “Bridging Allies” initiative, which is receiving funding from NATO’s Science for Peace and Security program to look into all this.
