A European lawmaker is due to appear in court on Thursday, charged with corruption in one of the biggest scandals involving the European Parliament in decades. Greek MEP Eva Kaili is accused of allegedly accepting large sums of money to lobby in favor of Qatar. Some lawmakers worry that the allegations could have far-reaching consequences for the EU project itself. The World’s Europe correspondent Orla Barry reports.
