Digital artists are documenting Iran’s protest in powerful new ways

The protests against the regime in Iran are rounding out two months now. It’s difficult to photograph what’s taking place there, but a new generation of digital artists is documenting the events, creating powerful political images. Istanbul-based reporter Fariba Nawa talked to one of those artists, who goes by Jalz, and an Iranian academic who sees something new in this form of expression coming out of political turmoil and a fight for women’s rights.
