‘Onoda’ film: 10,000 nights in the jungle

“Onoda” is a film based on the real life of Hiroo Onoda, a Japanese soldier in the Philippine jungle who refused to surrender because he didn’t believe World War II had ended. He spent 30 years fighting an enemy that didn’t exist. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks to director Arthur Harari about whether Onoda was a self-deluded fanatic or a patriot.
