Torture claims emerge in eastern Ukraine

Mariana Bezugla is a member of parliament from President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s Servant of the People party and deputy head of the Parliament’s Security, Defense and Intelligence Committee. She entered the northeastern town of Balakliya with Ukrainian troops when they seized it from Russian forces. She tells The World’s Marco Werman that she photographed evidence showing Russian troops set up a sort of dungeon there to torture local residents.
