Ahmad Fanoos, a famous Afghan musician, shares his story

The World

Ahmad Fanoos is one of Afghanistan’s most famous musicians. After the Taliban reclaimed power last year, music was banned and Fanoos received several death threats. Eventually, he and other family members were able to be airlifted out. This fall, Ahmad Fanoos and his sons, who are also musicians, will have the chance to perform together in the United States with the help of the organization Heart of Afghanistan. Ahmad Fanoos shares his story with us.
