A tiger’s stripes are as unique as a human’s fingerprints. The nonprofit Environmental Investigation Agency is collecting photos of tigers, both wild and caged, to create a giant database to track down trafficked animals. Using AI software, they hope to expose smugglers and protect the 4,000 or so tigers still roaming the jungles. The World’s Patrick Winn reports.
