The apolitical Eurovision Song Contest is often political

Because of the attack on their country, Ukraine not surprisingly was a crowd favorite at this year’s edition of Eurovision held in Turin, Italy, and they won with their song “Stefania,” an ode to mothers explained winning artists Kalush Orchestra. Host Marco Werman takes us back to 2016 when politics also intervened in the competition, and a clearly political song, also with Ukraine taking the prize.
